Course: St Andrews Old Course Reverse ( by: Neil Munro )
Every year on St Andrews day, St Andrews club members have the opportunity to play the Old Course in reverse. Now course download members can do the same.
Course downloads invites you to take part in a special competition. Play a round, or more than one, on the course and send in your best score. The lowest score will win an the underwhelming prize of having a personalised version of the course.
There is only one rule; In keeping with the equipment of the time, the longest club you can use is a 3 iron. The competition closes at midnight 31st december 2021.
There is only one tee and one pin on each hole. Players can set the conditions to whatever they want.
You can post your score in this forum, just reply to this post with your score.

Could only manage a -17. Settings: Advanced, Calm Winds, Normal Greens, Average Rough
Hardest thing was to remember not to use above a 3 iron.

| Was going to post a score, but forgot to play without my woods and driver! I will give it a try with the biggest club in my bag being a 3 Iron. |

Using Normal greens and teeing off from the Pro tee with Calm winds and with my most powerful club in the bag being a 3 Iron, I shot a -16...would have had a -18 but shot PAR on two holes. For the front nine I used the Custom Game option and for the back nine I used the Play Online option
Quite a challenge to get the low score without the use of a Driver or any of the Woods. |
