If you want to breathe some fresh air near the ocean while having a stress-free round of golf, then this Pianosa Links course is for you !
With its wide and undulating fairways, this long par 73 is not overly difficult (unlike some more well-known European links courses) and you should score well if you can manage to reach its (mostly) slightly-elevated greens, guarded by a few bunkers or partially hidden by a couple of small trees.
The par-5 opening hole is a right dogleg, with a green hard to reach on your second shot, unlike the right dogleg par-4 2nd, whose fairway is set parallel to the 1st, on the left side.
On the par-4 4th hole, you will have to hit a pretty straight tee shot while making sure to avoid trees on the right side along the fairway near the tee box before admiring the panoramic view as you reach the green.
Then, after the par-3 5th hole and its slightly-sloped green, you will face the left dogleg par-4 6th, with a tee shot flying across a cart path, midway, and its slightly-elevated green, before heading for the scenic par-3 7th, with a slightly-downhill green and its nice panoramic view of the ocean.
But my favorite hole on the front 9 is the very pretty right dogleg par-5 8th, with an uphill tee shot landing onto a plateau and a very long approach above a cliff toward the green, partially hidden with two small trees in front.
You will finish with the par-4 9th hole, with a few elongated bunkers on the left side and nice small vegetation all around its fairway and green.
The back 9 is a little more scenic and challenging, starting with the left dogleg par-4 10th hole, with a small house on the left side near the tee box and a lone tree in the corner, making the fairway quite narrow, and the pretty right dogleg par-4 12th, with a tough tee shot over a wide area below filled with deep rough, shrubs and a few small trees, and a slightly-elevated green.
Another slightly-elevated hole is the par-4 13th, pretty straight, with a blind approach over an elongated area filled with shrubs and gorse (in the middle of the fairway) and ending in front of the green.
Three of the last five holes are par-5s, starting with the pretty dogleg 14th (above the coastline) bending sharply to the right, with a fairway getting narrower as you get close to its elevated green, and the even more scenic right dogleg par-5 16th hole, similar but tougher with a downhill and slanted fairway and an elevated green reachable only on your third shot.
In between, you will enjoy the beautiful (albeit not too difficult) downhill par-3 15th hole (and its nice panoramic view), before walking over to the tricky right dogleg par-4 17th, with two fairways, split by deep rough and gorse (in the corner, midway), leaving you with two different approaches to the green (read the general info), depending on whether you hit your tee shot left or right...
Last but not least, the left dogleg par-5 18th hole will offer one last challenge, with a tee shot over the cart path crossing the fairway, midway, and a tough second shot downward to the green, hidden by small trees and guarded by a couple of small elongated bunkers.
Overall, if you won’t suffer from dizziness on this Pianosa Links course (formerly known as Planasia due to its almost flat territory – maximum elevation 29 m !), you should have fun playing it as it is well designed and quite eye candy, thanks to the talent and imagination of brafroivipobei !

Played this on Expert, Very Dry & Calm winds. This is a very well done course, especially for a new designer. It looks great and plays very smooth. Just remember to bring out the big guns, it's long. Great job!
