East Haven is a small former fishing village about 3 miles up the coast from Carnoustie which dates back to at least 1214.
Nowadays best known for it's immaculate appearance and nature preservation, which is in a large part due to the residents who take a great pride in their home village.
It has won many accolades including the "Beautiful Scotland Gold Award in 1921" THe community garden features an actual fishing boat, and the World War one monument to the Brave dogs of War, many of whom were actually trained at East Haven.

A typical links environment that I though may benefit from a golf course. I've used some artistic license as you would need to be about 5 miles further south to be able to see the coast of Fife opposite.
